3. Switch on the tool and slowly bring the saw blade into contact
with the workpiece at the desired starting point.
Cutting sheet metal:
1. Clamp a piece of plywood or soft wood to the rear side of the
workpiece and saw through both materials in order to achieve
a clean cut.
2. Do not use force to aid the saw blade in penetrating the
workpiece. Note that the process of sawing sheet metal usually
longer than for thick pieces of wood.
3. Apply a thin film of oil along the cutting line before you start
sawing.
4. To cut, turn on the tool and slide it down until the saw blade is
situated just above the entry point. Lower the rear part of the saw
shoe against the workpiece, while alternating regular pressure
between it and the saw shoe. With the saw shoe resting directly on
the workpiece, insert the saw blade into the workpiece.
Cutting laminates:
1. Cut thin laminate with the rear side facing upwards, as chipping
when sawing workpieces usually occurs on the side facing the
saw shoe.
2. To get a clean cut, we recommend sandwiching the laminate
material between pieces of plywood or hardboard on both sides,
and sawing through the combination of materials.
