5 Double insulation

To ensure maximum safety of the user, our tools are designed and
built to satisfy applicable European standards (EN standards). Tools
with double insulation are marked by the international symbol of
a double square. These tools must not be grounded and a two‑wire
cable is sufficient to supply them with power. Tools are shielded in
accordance with EN 55014.

6 Use

The power tool is designed for mixing powder construction ma‑
terials such as mortar, plaster and adhesives, as well as paints and
varnishes containing no solvents or similar materials.
The user bears full responsibility for the consequences of using the
tool for purposes other than the above.

7 Commissioning

Check that the information on the production plate matches the
real voltage of the power source.
Check that plug matches the type of socket.
Tools designed for 230 V can also be connected to 220/240 V.
7.1 Mounting a Mixing Paddle
Take the mixing paddle [11] with M14×2 fastening (size 22 wrench)
and screw it onto the height‑adjustable adapter  [10] (size 19
wrench) by turning it to the right. Tighten it with a wrench.
Insert the mixing paddle with firmly attached height‑adjustable
adapter into the opening on the power tool's spindle.
For adjusting working height, see chapter Height-Adjustable
Adapter.

7.2 Turning On/Off

Always hold the power tool with both hands: by the right [2] and
left handle [7].
The tool is turned on and off using the switch [3] (press = on, re‑
lease = off).
Speed Regulation via the Switch (Accelerating Switch)
The switch [3] also allows for the smooth adjusting of speed up to
the limit set on the speed regulator.
Lock On
Pressing the switch [3] to the limit and then simultaneously press‑
ing the lock on button  [4] locks the machine in the on position.
Pressing the switch [3] again and releasing it releases the lock.

7.3 Electronics

Smooth Start-Up
Electronic regulation ensures smooth start‑up of the power tool.
Smooth start also prevents the mixed material from splashing
outside the container. The low start‑up current of the power tool
allows the use of 10 A fuses.
Speed Regulation
The speed regulator [5] allows for adjusting of the speed to:
EMT 12
1st gear
0–360 min
2nd gear
0–410 min
3rd gear
0–470 min
Set the speed depending on the mixing paddle and the mixed
material.
Overload Protection
If the power tool is subjected to extreme overload, electronic safe‑
guards will protect the motor from damage. The motor will stop
and will only start up again once the load has been reduced. To tool
must be restarted to start working again.
Constant Speed
The tool's electronics keep the speed at load nearly constant. This
ensures even mixing of the material.
Protection against Accidental Restart
Built‑in protection against accidental restart prevents the pow‑
er tool from starting up automatically after a power failure if the
switch is locked in the on position. To put the tool back in opera‑
tion, it has to be switched off and on again.

7.4 Height-Adjustable Adapter

Height Adjustment
The working height of the power tool can be adjusted to allow
a fully upright body posture.
» Pull back the sleeve [10] to the limit in the direction towards
the power tool and hold it in this position.
» Pulling on the mixing paddle will pull the height‑adjustable
adapter out of the power tool's spindle. This allows the pow‑
er tool to be set to five different working heights. Each step is
2 cm long. Maximum adjustment length is 8 cm.
