WARNING AND SAFTEY INSRUCTIONS
Safety Information: Comet Z-Wave is intended for indoor use. Operate Comet Z-Wave only
as described in the user manual. Comet Z-Wave should only be used in a dry and dust-free
place out of direct sunlight. Do not continue to operate the device if it shows obvious damage.
Comet Z-Wave may not be rebuilt, modified or opened.
Warning instructions : Never recharge, short-circuit or disassemble batteries - risk of ex-
plosion! Remove exhausted batteries from the device immediately. Protect batteries from
overheating - increased risk of leakage! Do not use used and new batteries together. If
necessary, clean batteries and device contacts before inserting. Keep batteries away from
children. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If you come into contact with
battery acid, immediately rinse the affected areas with plenty of clear water and consult a
doctor immediately.
NOTE: In order to be able to use the full range of functions of the Comet Z-Wave Plus, a
security enabled Z-Wave controller is required.

2. ADDING TO A Z-WAVE NETWORK
Put your primary Z-Wave controller in inclusion mode. Press
add mode. If Comet Z-Wave was added successfully, the LED display will show the received
Node ID.
3. MOUNTING ON RADIATOR
After adding (inclusion), the LED display shows an animation and the thermostat moves to
the mounting position. Then the LED display will show "Ad".
1. Unscrew the old thermostatic head completely, loosen the fastening and pull it off the valve
2. If necessary, select a suitable adapter and mount it on the valve.
NOTE: Completely remove the connecting pieces of the
plastic adapter before you use one of the enclosed adap-
ters! For information about each adapter, see:

3. Screw the thermostat onto the valve or adapter by
turning the union nut clockwise.
4. ADAPTATION
