With your purchase you have decided in favour of a
quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product
before taking it into use. To do this, read the following
operating instructions attentively. Use the product only as
described and only for the specifi ed areas of applica-
tion. Retain these instructions for future reference. In addi-
tion, pass these documents on, together with the product,
to any future owner.

Intended Use

The oil fi lter wrench PAWSO A1 is intended for the
loosening and tightening of oil fi lters fi tted in automobiles.

Precautionary measures for avoiding burns when
removing hot oil
When oil is being drained from a still hot engine,
all contact with the oil itself is to be avoided.
The new oil fi lter is to be fi lled up to 2/3 with fresh
oil and the rubber seal to be smeared with oil. This
smearing of the rubber seal facilitates later removal
of the oil fi lter and helps prevent damage to the
seal when tightening.
Screw the oil fi lter on hand-tight, then secure it fi rmly
with the oil fi lter key.

The oil fi lter can be exchanged after the oil has been
drained and the sump sealing screw replaced.
Place the oil fi lter key over the oilfi lter and secure it
by turning the adjustment screw.
Loosen the oilfi lter with the oil fi lter key, then remove
it by hand.
