c) Application
As soon as the unit is on, you will notice a mist coming out of the nebulizer
your mouth or the mask on your face. The session time is about 10 minutes and depends on the quantity of
nebulized solution. At the end of the session, nebulizing becomes irregular and gradually decreases.
For optimal lung deposit, inhale from the mouth, preferably using the mouth piece, take slow deep breaths,
and hold your breath for a few seconds after you breath in. Follow your doctor's instructions.
d) After each use
After each aerosol session, turn off the unit (switch to O). Unplug the power cord from the mains, then
disconnect the tube from the nebulizer and the unit. Follow cleaning and disinfecting instructions (refer to
Part 4).
Use of electricity

Before connecting the unit to a socket, check values on the unit's identification label (Volts and Hz) and for
your power grid.

The warranty does not cover power connection errors.

Connect the unit to an easy to access socket to ensure quick disconnection from the grid.

The AEROLIGHT unit is intended to operate at an altitude of 3,000m or less.

Do not open the unit when it is switched on (electric shock hazard).

WARNING: This equipment is connected to an electric current: do not use in the bathtub or shower, do not
submerge in water. Keep the device away from any direct heat source.


Keep this device out of the reach of unattended children or animals (hazardous tubes and spare nebulizer
parts).

The unit must be set up on a solid surface and turned on according to the information provided in the
instructions for use.

Carefully store the power cord and tubes after use.

An animal may gnaw at the power cord. Check the condition of the equipment properly before use.

This device is intended to be used in a care facility and at home.

Do not use the unit outside, near a heat source or near water (bathtub, sink, etc.). Make sure the unit is
not exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

After use, unplug the unit from the socket.

Contact DTF MEDICAL, your chemist or your local distributor if you notice that the unit/nebulizer is
unusually noisy.

This is a fragile medical unit, handle with care.

Before connecting an electrical unit to the power supply, you must connect the nebulizer to the unit to
prevent any abnormal noises (the unit will be louder if it is connected to the power supply without its
nebulizer).

No specific knowledge or training is required to use the AEROLIGHT unit.

The mains socket is the disconnection device and it must be accessible at all times.

Keep this manual in a safe place and together with the unit as it contains the information you need to use
the equipment properly.

The patient is the intended operator. They can use all the unit's functions safely.

If necessary, contact the manufacturer to report any unexpected occurrences or events.
Notes about aerosol therapy

Do not exceed 6 ml of drug product or solution for the nebulizer. Do not go over the "full" line on the
nebulizer's reservoir.
