5. SAFETY MEASURES

Working with hand pallet trucks is not without danger. To reduce this danger as
much as possible, we have drawn up a number of safety measures. Always follow
up these directives and always be aware of what you are doing. In this way many
accidents can be avoided.
*1 Be sure that the load on the pallet to be lifted cannot slide or fall over. Load the
pallet equally and fasten the load.
*2 Take care that there are no feet under the load when you let down the pallet.
*3 Always let the pallet down on the ground when you are at your destination or
when you move away from the truck with load. In this way the truck can never go
and drive unguardedly and cause damage.
*4 Never exceed the maximum working load of the pallet truck.
*5 Use the pallet truck exclusively for what the apparatus is meant. Do not lift with
only one fork; the pallet truck may become curved and not function correctly
anymore.
*6 The lever should only be controlled by human power.
*7 Only those persons who are aware of how to use the pallet truck, by having read
this manual, should use the pallet truck. Injudicious use may cause danger.

6. MAINTENANCE

To prolong the life of the pallet truck, we advise you to consider the following
maintenance prescriptions, so that the JJ pallet truck will carry out heavy jobs for
years to come.
1. Do not leave the pallet truck outdoor and prevent rain and snow to affect your JJ
hand pallet truck.
2. Grease head- and cylinder pump to prevent corrosion.
3. Grease all moving parts at least once a year.
4. At least every years, the hydraulic oil should be refreshed.
Therefore, put the truck in the lowest position,
Remove the guard and turn the filling plug out the reservoir. Overturn the truck
and let the oil run out. Put the pallet truck back on it's wheels and fill up the
pallet truck with fresh oil. To fill up a complete empty pallet truck to the correct
