INSTRUCTION MANUAL

1. General Information

The Powered Respirator Protective Suits (PRPS) „e-breathe Splash Inside" protects the respiratory organs and the
body of the user from liquid biological and chemical agents, as well as from contamination by solid and liquid aero-
sols. Not suitable for use against gases.
The PRPS can only be operated with an approved powered, air-purifying respirator (PAPR) and filters, as this is the only
way to achieve the required overpressure / minimum nominal volume flow of 160 l/min, which prevents the penetration
of pollutants into the PRPS. The nominal operating time of the certified PAPR is at least 4 hours. The air flow of the PAPR
guarantees a primary fresh air supply in the facial area, whereby a slight overpressure is achieved in the entire PRPS.
The PAPR and filters are not part of the suit and must be purchased separately. The instructions for use of the PAPR and
filters must also be followed and are included with the products.
The PRPS has been tested according to EN 12941 - TH3 / Kat. III EN 14605 - Type 3B / EN 14605 - Type 4B / EN 14126
and EN 13688 according to the European Directive 89/686/EEC and the European Regulation 2016/425 as Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) and bears the CE mark to document conformity with the requirements of the Directive
and the Regulation.
The use of the PRPS may only take place after prior professional instruction. This must be documented.
If you are unsure about the selection and handling of the equipment, contact your supervisor or the point of sale. You
can also contact the PM Atemschutz or the e-breathe Safety Technical support or selected service centers at any time.
Application Areas:
The PRPS can be used in combination with a blower as an alternative to filter protection wherever filter protection is
recommended. This is particularly useful for heavy, warm or protracted work. During the selection the following factors
have to be considered:
• Type of contamination
• Workload
Risk analyses shall be carried out by persons with appropriate training and experience in the respective field.
CAUTION: The product may be a life-saving or health-preserving protective device. Improper use, maintenance or servi-
cing of the PRPS may affect the function of the PRPS and thereby endanger human life.
The functionality of the PRPS has to be checked before use. The product must not be used if, for example, there is dama-
ge or expert maintenance is lacking.
