7. Place the unit on an even stable surface.
8. Plug the unit back into the wall outlet.
9. Turn on the humidifier function. Aroma from the oils in the compartment will be mixed
with the circulated air coming from the vent of the oil compartment. The normal flow of
air will then join with the cool mist from the humidifier ultimately adding aroma to the
moisturized air.
F. Proper Care, Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION: ALWAYS TURN THE POWER OFF AND DISCONNECT THE POWER CORD FROM THE
ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE CLEANING.
The following general rule should apply to the proper care, cleaning and maintenance of
Humio - clean daily and sanitize weekly or when Humio will not be used for several days or
stored away. Please note, if water remains in the Water Tank for more than 24 hours, bacterial
growth is possible. Do not leave water in the Water Tank for more than 24 hours when not in
use.
Daily Maintenance:
1. Unplug Humio.
2. Remove the Water Tank from the Motor Base.
3. Empty all the water from the Motor Base and the Water Tank.
4. Wipe all surfaces with a clean, soft towel.
5. Refill with clean water.
Weekly Maintenance:
1. Unplug Humio.
2. Remove the Water Tank from the Motor Base.
3. Empty all the water from the Motor Base and the Water Tank. 4. Do not immerse the
Motor Base in water.
5. Do not use bleach or any abrasive chemicals to clean Humio.
6. Fill the Water Tank partially with a sanitizing solution by adding half a teaspoon
of 3% hydrogen peroxide per half gallon of water.
7. Assemble the machine and let the solution soak for 20 minutes.
