Factors influencing the inspection and replacement intervals

The lifetimes of the compressor components are determined by several influences. Any serious statement on in-
spection and replacement intervals of compressor components is only possible with restrictions. The information in
this document is based on empirical values.
BITZER recommends logging of the operating data with the compressor module CM-SW-01 for CSW105 or with
the optional protection device SE-i1 for CS.6 to CS.9. Use the BEST SOFTWARE from the BITZER website to ana-
lyse the data.
Influences are:
• Operating conditions
– Operating pressures,
– Suction and discharge gas temperature,
– Oil temperature
• Oil type and operational viscosity
• Refrigerant
• Amount and frequency of liquid floodback out of the evaporator
• Cycling rates
• Time after start until stable conditions are achieved
• Compressor oil level at start
