The following points are important for cleaning the installation:
1. Switch off the main switch
DZW / DZD / DZSW / EPWW
2. Disconnect the installation from the power supply.

3. Brushes with safety covers:
a) Use the key to open the covers over the brushes.
b) Remove the 4 top brushes.

4. Long vertical brushes on a vertical shaft:
a) Lift the long vertical brush to remove. Note that when the brush is
put back after cleaning that the hole at the bottom side must
accept the pin parallel to the vertical shaft.
EDLW / EDSW / EZSW
5. Short vertical brushes on a vertical shaft:
a) Remove the locking pin

b) Lift the short vertical brush to remove.

6. Release of a locked horizontal brush:
a) Remove the two allen bolts at the end of the horizontal brush, at
the front of the machine.

7. Lift the brush grid A.

The brush grid is heavy. Use a hoisting device.

8. Lock the brush grid B.
9. Lift the brushes from the housing:
- first at the control panel side C,
- next at the other side D,
- move the brushes to a suitable and safe cleaning spot. Refer to
the Elpress manual: Hygienic equipment Cleaning instructions.
Note that when the horizontal brush is put back after cleaning that
the crossbar at the driven side must fit into the slotted hole of the
horizontal driveshaft.
10. Remove the grid at the bottom of the brush compartment.
- move the grid to a suitable and safe cleaning spot. Refer to the
Elpress manual: Hygienic equipment Cleaning instructions.

11. Lift the disinfection grid.
