CAUTION
Risk of burns! Use oven gloves to protect hands from hot cookware
and hot knobs. Protect worktops and tables by placing hot
cookware on trivets or thick potholders.
Care of enamelled cast iron
Let the cookware cool down.
Although the cookware is dishwasher safe, we recommend that you clean it
by hand with warm soapy water and a nylon brush to preserve the original
appearance of the cookware. Lemon juice and citrus-based detergents
(including some dishwashing detergents) should not be used as they may
affect the exterior shine.
If necessary, use nylon pads or scrapers to remove food residues. Metal pads
or metal utensils can scratch or damage the porcelain.
Remove light stains with a damp cloth or ceramic cleaner according to the
instructions on the bottle.
For stubborn stains, soak the inside of the cookware for 2 to 3 hours with a
mixture of 3 tablespoons of baking soda per litre of water.
To remove stubborn, baked-on residue, bring 2 cups of water and 4
tablespoons of baking powder to a boil. Let the water boil for a few minutes
and then use a pan scraper to loosen the food.
Always dry the cookware thoroughly and replace the rubber protectors
between the rim and the lid before storing it in a cool, dry place. Do not stack
cookware.
Note: With regular use and care, slight, permanent soiling of enamelled
cookware is to be expected, but this does not affect performance.
