Composite mitre sawing
Composite mitre sawing is a process whereby
vertical mitre sawing is combined with a bevel in a
workpiece.
Composite mitre sawing can be achieved by
simultaneously setting a mitre angle and a bevel.
Setting the sawing depth (fig. B3)
1. Slide the groove stop (31) forwards.
2. Unscrew the groove depth locking nut (30) in
order to unlock the blade depth adjustment
screw (23).
3. Lower the cutting arm to the desired depth.
4. Screw the groove depth locking nut (30) tight in
this position in order to lock the blade depth
adjustment screw (28).
TRANSPORT (FIG. A1, A2, B1, B2)
Lock the saw head in the lowest position if the saw
has to be transported.
1. Remove the plug from the socket.
2. Press the cutting arm down and pull out the lock
button (2). Screw the button tight to lock the saw
head in the lowest position.
3. Tighten the bevel lock (10) and the sliding rod
locking knob (22) properly.
4. Only lift the saw by the carrying handle (36) or
by the base.
Do not lift the saw using the guides.
MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the machine from the
mains supply before changing settings or
performing maintenance.
Make sure that, after changing the
settings, all Allen keys have been
removed and that all screws and bolts
have been tightened.
The device does not contain any parts which
have to be maintained by the user.
Keep the motor ventilation openings clean.
Make sure that all working operating elements
are free of dust.
Never clean the machine using water or
chemical cleaning agents.
Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
Store the machine in a dry place.
Lubricate the screw thread of the locking screw
with a drop of oil from time to time.
Every now and again you may see sparks
through the ventilation openings. This is normal
and does not damage the machine.
Replacing a saw blade (fig. A1)
Only use saw blades which are sharp and
undamaged. You should replace cracked
or bent saw blades immediately. Do not
use saw blades made from HSS steel.
Use saw blades which are suitable for a
number of revolutions of at least 4,500
min
. Make sure that the spindle
-1
diameter and the saw blade bore match.
Always disconnect the machine from the
mains supply before removing a saw
blade.
Always wear work gloves when replacing
a saw blade.
1. Press down the operating handle (7) and pull
the lock button (6) in order to release the cutting
arm (5).
2. Move the cutting arm (5) to its highest position.
3. Unscrew the guard screw (14) with a Philips
screwdriver.
4. Pull the rotary guard (12) over the top fixed
guard (9) in order to access the lock nut.
5. Raise the rotary guard (12) and press the
spindle lock button (25). Turn the saw blade until
it locks the spindle.
6. Use the Allen key supplied to loosen and
remove the lock nut (unscrew clockwise
because the lock nut has a left-handed thread).
7. Remove the flat washer, the outer flange and
the saw blade. Remove sawdust and dirt.
8. Lubricate both flanges with a drop of oil.
9. Place a new saw blade on the spindle and make
sure that the inside flange is behind the saw
blade.
10. Refit the outermost flange.
11. Press the spindle lock button (25) and add the
flat washer and the lock nut.
12. Screw the lock nut tight with the Allen key
(anticlockwise).
