6. General Information

The customer must carry out verification of stability.
In operation, pressure vessels may be subject to national specifications, regulations or factory standards
(e.g. the German Ordinance on Industrial Health and Safety (BetrSichV)). Customers must ensure that the
appropriate regulations are known and used.
Unless stated otherwise, pressure vessels are not rated for pulsating stress.
Only personnel who have been trained on a recurring basis are allowed to work on parts
pressure-bearing parts.
Customers must check that the materials that come into contact with the product are resistant
to the media that are used.
Customers must use suitable equipment with a safety function (including PLT safety equipment)
to ensure that the maximum permissible values for the pressure (PS) and temperature (TS) cannot be
exceeded. The maximum operating parameters are stated on the type plate and in the manufacturer's
declaration or declaration of conformity.
Customers must ensure safe draining by means of pressure (relief) valves.
Insulation/guards must be provided by customers.
Customers must provide process-dependent safety equipment.
Customers must carry out maintenance and inspection of the pressure vessels.
If the pressure device is to be placed on the market and commissioned as an assembly in the sense of
the Pressure Equipment Directive, an assessment of the assembly must be made within the scope of
final and pressure testing at the latest. Otherwise, the acceptance inspector must indicate explicitly that
inspection of the equipment with a safety function has still to be carried out.
The operating company must take measures against erosion and abrasion.
The operating company must take measures to ensure safe connection of filling pipes and to prevent
overfilling as well as drain lines preventing uncontrolled releasing of the pressurised fluid.
