Recommendations and maintenance
Straps in fabric, leather and alligator or python skin
- Avoid any contact with water (bath, shower, etc). Leather is a natural
material, i.e. despite your care and attention, its color may fade over time.
Your watch and the watch movement
- Avoid any contact with chemical products (solvents, detergents, cos-
metics, etc.) as these may damage the bracelet and the water-resistance
gaskets.
- Avoid direct exposure to sun as a temperature of more than 60°C (140°F)
may damage the movement. Also, a prolonged exposure to Ultra Violet
rays can alter the colours of leather straps, dials etc.
- Avoid all violent shocks as well as dropping the watch. Its appearance
will be damaged and it may cause premature wear in materials and
components.
Setting your watch
- Avoid changing the date or time between 8:00 pm and 4:00 am.
- Once you are done with the settings, push the crown back in and
(depending on the model) screw it down against the case to preserve its
water-resistance.
