General instructions
Safe use of telescopic ladders
1. Safety and user instructions for all ladders
WARNING – Falling off a lad-
der can lead to severe injuries
or death. Comply with all safety
measures.
After receipt and before each use,
check whether the ladder is not
damaged and is safe to use. Do
not use a damaged ladder.
Do not use the ladder on a
surface that is not flat or
sufficiently sturdy.
Do not put the ladder on
contaminated ground.
Only access the ladder with your
face facing the ladder.
Avoid work that entails stressing
the ladder laterally, such as drilling
in hard materials.
Wear appropriate shoes when
accessing a ladder.
Do not use the ladder as a bridge.
WARNING – Risk of electric shocks
Assess all electric risks in the work area, such as wiring and electrical
equipment. Do not use the ladder where such risks exist.
Ladder for
professional use
Read the instructions carefully.
Maximum total load.
Maximum number of users.
While using the ladder, hold it
with minimum one hand. Take
extra safety measures if this is
impossible.
Some ladders are delivered
including one of more stabilizer
beams. Mount this/these beam(s)
before using the ladder.
Do not overreach.
While using a ladder, do not
carry heavy or difficult to handle
equipment.
Do not use the ladder if you
are not sufficiently fit. Certain
medical disorders or the use of
medication, alcohol and/or drugs
makes using the ladder unsafe.
