3. WARNINGS
· This Auto-Darkening welding helmet is not suitable for laser welding.
· Make sure to remove any additional protection foil of the protection lens.
· The Berner automatic welding helmet must only be used fully assembled.
· Replace components only with original Berner replacement products.
· Any modifications to the helmet, decal, filter, headgear or other parts, unless specified in
the manual, will affect risk to the wearer's protection and health.
· Eye protection devices against high velocity particles can present a hazard to the wearer by
transmitting impacts when worn over conventional prescription glasses.
· This product cannot be used for overhead welding or cutting.
· Always check for additional necessary safety products.
· Please note that the used materials can cause skin irritation in individual cases.
· If protection against high-speed particles at extreme temperatures is required, the selected protective
eyewear should be labelled with T immediately after the first letter, i.e. FT, BT or AT. If these letters
are not followed by T, the eyewear may only be used for high-speed particles at room temperature.
· When replacing or assembling several individual parts to form a complete eye protection device, the
protection of the individual part with the lowest marking for the complete protective device is given
at most.
· Always use a suitable backing glass

4. STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE

Filter should be stored in a dry place within the temperature -20°C to +45°C.
Keep solar cells in the dark during storage in order to maintain power down mode.
Always keep solar cells and arc sensors free of dust and spatters.
Clean with a soft tissue or a cloth soaked in mind detergent (or alcohol).
Never use aggressive solvents such as acetone.
Inspect frequently and replace damaged parts is recommended.
Outer and inner protection lenses are wear parts and must be replaced regularly.
Equipment that may be damaged by mechanical force must be changed.
Equipment damaged in any way, must be replaced immediately.
We recommend a use period of 4-5 years. The duration of use depends on various features such as
usage, cleaning. storage and maintenance.
4-1. REPLACING EXTERNAL COVER LENS AND INTERNAL COVER LENS (Picture 1):
Remove filter holder by moving locks toward center and flip up the filter holder.
Flex lens upwards until it releases from the edge of the viewing window.
Install the Berner replacement protection set.
4-2. CHANGE THE BERNER CARTRIDGE (Picture 1, 2):
Remove the holder lens, flex top of the filter to allow filter to be removed.
Install the correct Berner replacement cartridge into frame.
Make sure the cartridge is inserted properly and install filter holder into helmet Shell.
