IV.V FLAME ADJUSTMENT
• The ideal flame pattern is predominantly dark blue with occasional light blue and
yellow tips and does not stand out from the burner.
• If the flame image differs, you can adjust it. At the end of the burner is a small air
damper that can be opened or closed further to adjust the appearance of the
flames.
• To do this, remove the burner from the appliance and loosen the screw that
secures the air damper to the burner.
• If the flame is yellow and sluggish, open the air damper for a blue flame.
• When the flame lifts off the burner surface and flickers, close the damper slightly.
• Retighten the screw, reinstall the burner and check again that the flame pattern is
correct.
• The air damper is preset at the factory and normally does not need to be adjusted.
However, this may be necessary in extreme weather conditions.

REAR BURNER IGNITION

• Warning: Rear burner and main burner must never be used at the same time!
• The rear burner may only be ignited when the lid is open.
• Remove the warming rack.
• To light the rear burner, push the control in gently and slowly turn it
counterclockwise to full.
• Be sure to slowly turn the control to the ignition point to allow enough gas to flow
into the burner for ignition. Due to the greater distance between the regulator and
the rear burner, this takes much longer than with the main burners.
• If the rear burner does not ignite, turn the knob to the "OFF" position. Wait for the
gas to clear and try again.
• If the burner does not ignite after several attempts, please contact your dealer.
