3.1 Connecting an audio source
To connect an audio source with line level
(e . g . CD player, mixer output, line output of
a computer), a 6 .3 mm jack (2) and an XLR
connector (3) are available which can be used
alternatively .
Both inputs are balanced . To connect audio
sources with unbalanced signals, use a 2-pole
6 .3 mm plug for the 6 .3 mm jack or a corre-
sponding adapter for the XLR connector (bridge
between pin 1 and pin 3) .
The contacts of both inputs are directly con-
nected to each other so that the second input
can also be used to forward the signal, e . g . to
another active speaker .
3.2 Power supply
For power supply, use the mains cable provided
to connect the IEC connector "230 V~/ 50 Hz"(5)
to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz) .
