IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE
When using the appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
•
Please read this instruction manual carefully before use.
•
Home use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.
•
Before the first connection of the appliance check that voltage indicated on the rating
label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
•
There is danger of electric shock even when the appliance is switched off. Always unplug
the appliance from the power supply when it is not in use.
•
The oil heater should never be used under conditions where it may be immersed or
come in contact with water; do not use the appliance in wet rooms.
•
Do not operate the oil heater with a damaged cord or plug.
•
Return defective appliances for repair to the nearest service center. Only qualified
persons may repair the appliance.
•
Close supervision is required when the appliance is used near children.
•
Always remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning.
•
Unplug the oil heater by pulling the plug out of the power outlet. Pull on the plug, not on
the cord.
•
Do not use the unit when you sleep.
•
Do not insert or pull out the plug with wet hands as this may cause electrical shock.
•
The oil heater may only be used in the upright position.
•
The unit must be positioned away from flammable or easily deformable objects during
use.
•
Place the oil heater on the floor at least 90 cm away from the wall and any other objects,
such as furniture, curtains or plants.
•
The surface temperature of the appliance is high; do not touch it, only at the handle.
•
The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
•
This heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of the
oil container are only to be made by the manufacturer or his service agent who should
be contacted if there is an oil leak; when scrapping the heater, follow the regulations
concerning the disposal of oil.
•
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
