Intended use

The Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge is a felling tool that
may solely be used in timber harvesting. Only healthy, normally formed
trees may be felled with the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling
Wedge. The Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge may not
be used:
• for trees with pronounced back or side hang,
• for trees damaged by fungi or rot,
• for standing deadwood.
The Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge is licensed for use in
the forestry industry. The performance limits of the Nordforest Titan 80
Mechanical Felling Wedge must always be observed (see "Technical
specifications" on page 57). The Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical
Felling Wedge is no substitute for a cable or winch.
Intended use also includes the complete reading and understanding of
this manual and in particular of the chapter "Safety instructions" on
page 36.

Improper use

Any improper use is prohibited. The following are considered to be
improper use of the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge.
• conversion or modification,
• any other use apart from those described in the chapter "Intended
use",
• use under operating conditions that depart from those specified in
this manual.
Improper use of the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge
automatically voids all warranty claims.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the Nordforest Titan 80
Mechanical Felling Wedge or for personal injuries that result from
improper use.
