MUSTANG 160 is an electrofusion welding machine that joins pipes and fittings made of
Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) with a diameter between 32 mm and 160 mm.
Fittings' brand
Vulcathene-Eurofusion, Akatherm-Eurofusion, Geberit, Valsir, Coes,
Waviduo
The electrofusion joint is based on the Joule effect: a voltage difference is applied to the
terminals of a resistor contained in a fitting, which is traversed for a certain time interval by
a constant current. The released heat carries out the welding.
The welding is defined by three parameters
- welding time,
- current intensity,
- voltafe at the fittings' terminals.
The MUSTANG 160 sets the following parameters:
Current intensity: 4.9 A
Welding time: 80 s.
Voltage at the ends of the sleeve: controlled and maintained by the machine according
to the fittings' resistance.
