Support the plates or workpieces in or-
der to reduce the risk of kickback from
a jammed cutting disc. Large workpie-
ces may bend under their own weight.
The workpiece must be supported on
both sides of the disc, not only near
the cutting disc, but also at the edge.
Notes on statics:
Slots in load-bearing walls are subject to
the standard DIN 1053 Part 1 or country-
specific specifications. These rules must
be strictly adhered to. Before starting
work, consult the responsible structural
engineer, architect or the responsible con-
struction management.

Turning on and off

Make sure that the power supply
voltage matches the voltage rat-
ing indicated on the device's type
plate.
Connect the machine to the power
supply.
Keep your hands away from the
disc when the device is in op-
eration. There is a risk of injury.
Attention! The disc still runs
even after the device has been
switched off. There is a risk of
injury.
1. To turn on, press the switch lock (2)
and the on/off switch (3) simultane-
ously.
2. Release the switch lock (2) and wait
until the device has reached its maxi-
mum speed.

3. To switch off, release the on/off but-
ton (3). The tool switches off.
Trial run:
Always carry out a trial run before carrying
out your first grinding procedure and after
every disc replacement. Switch the device
off immediately if the diamond cutting disc
is not rotating smoothly, if considerable
vibration occurs or if you hear abnormal
noises.

Operation

Using a line locator, check the
walls for hidden electricity ca-
bling and gas and water pipes
before working with the wall
chaser.
During operation, always hold
the wall chaser by the handgrips
(1+13) using both hands. There
is a risk of injury.
1. Connect the dust collection kit (15),
see "Attaching the suction hose" and
hang the dust bag over your shoulder.
2. Switch on the wall chaser with the
front roller (12) against the brickwork.
Make sure that the cutting discs (7) do
not touch the wall. There is a risk of
injury from uncontrolled kickback.
3. Switch the wall chaser on.
4. Carefully plunge the cutting discs (7)
into the brickwork until the rear roll-
er (5) rests against the wall.
5. Push the wall chaser evenly in the di-
rection of the intended groove
Caution: The feed rate can only be
as high as the cutting discs are able
to grind the material. Do not apply too
much pressure to the cutting discs.
