To test whether alternating current is present, carry out the following
steps:
1. Hold the tip of the voltage tester against a contact of an electrical cable and
2. touch the other end of the voltage tester with one finger
If alternating current is present, the lamp will light up.
Cleaning
If the voltage tester is contaminated during normal use, it can be cleaned with
a damp cloth and a household cleaner. Aggressive cleaning agents must not
be used for cleaning.
Disposal
Electrical devices which are no longer used or are defective must be disposed
of in accordance with the electrical and electronics equipment act (ElektroG).
This symbol means that your device must be collected separately. Do
not dispose of your device with household waste. Please contact your
relevant municipal administration for information about a collection point
near you.
Storage
• Do not expose the voltage tester to direct sunlight.
• If the voltage tester is used in accordance with the operating manual, then no
maintenance will be required.
• If the voltage tester does not function properly, send it to the service depart-
ment for repairs.
