Important safety information!

To avoid an electric shock:
Never touch the appliance or the
plug with wet or moist hands, as
long as the plug is in the wall
socket.
Never use the appliance near
water, particularly not near
washbasins, baths or similar.
Make sure that the lead is never
wet or damp during operation.
Hold it so that the lead cannot be
jammed or otherwise damaged.
If the lead or the plug should be
damaged, you must not continue
to use the appliance – have it
replaced by customer service
before using it again.
Always pull the plug out of the
wall socket after use, particularly if
you use the appliance in the
bathroom. Simply switching it off is
not sufficient – because there is
still current in the appliance as long
as the plug is in the socket.
Make sure that no objects can
ever penetrate the appliance,
particularly not hair grips, clips or
hairpins.
Tip: An earth leakage breaker in the
bathroom circuit offers additional
protection. Ask an electrician.
To avoid fire hazards and injury:
The appliance can become very
hot during operation. Only touch
the handle and the buttons.
Only use the appliance with an
attachment, because the contact
point becomes hot during opera-
tion.
Allow the appliance to cool down
before affixing or removing any
attachments.
Only use the enclosed original
attachments, because they are
optimised for operation with the
appliance. Other attachments may
not be safe.
Keep the slits for incoming and
outgoing air clear, so that the air
can flow freely. Otherwise the
appliance may overheat.
Be careful when using hair spray,
water atomizers etc. On the one
hand the air flow could blow these
substances into your eyes. On the
other hand they must also not be
sprayed into the appliance – they
may be inflammable, corrosive or
conductive.
Do not allow disabled persons or
children to use electrical house-
hold appliances without super-
vision, as they may be unable to
assess the potential danger.
