Note: If you wish to have a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is completed,
remove the carafe (4) from the appliance. Due to the automatic drip stop, dripping
will automatically cease. Put the carafe (4) back within 30 seconds, dripping process
will automatically resume.
8. After the brewing cycle is completed (no more water is dripping through the fi lter),
the carafe (4) can be removed. When serving coffee do not remove the lid in order
to preserve the proper serving temperature
Note: Never open the housing cover (1) during operation – hot water could spill –
Danger of serious burns!
9. As long as the appliance is switched on, you can keep the coffee hot, by return-
ing the carafe (4) to the hotplate (5) after serving. The hotplate (5) will automati-
cally cycle on and off to maintain the ideal serving temperature as long as the
coffee maker is switched on.
10. Press the On/Off button (6) to switch the appliance off (0-position).
Always unplug the appliance if you are not using it.
Note: If you wish to prepare more than one pot of coffee, the appliance has to be
switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down.

Cleaning and Care

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the
mains. Let it completely cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth. Do not use any aggres-
sive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects to clean the appliance.
All detachable parts can be cleaned in the dishwasher or in warm water using some
dishwashing detergent, rinse them afterwards and dry them thoroughly. Clean the
carafe (4) in warm water using some dishwashing liquid and dry it afterwards.
Descaling
Depending on the water quality and usage, calcifi cation can occur. Therefore, to
keep your coffee maker operating effi ciently, you should descale it on a regular basis.
Never use any sharp, pointed or metal objects to remove limescale built up in the
appliance. To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for
your appliance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
After descaling, always rinse your appliance as described under Before First Use.

Mix your own descaler by using water and vinegar essence. Fill up the water tank
to max. level and add 2-3 table spoons of vinegar essence. Insert a paper fi lter into
