Learning-in an outdoor siren
You have to learn-in the siren before mounting it to the desired
position. In order to add a wireless siren to the system perform
the following steps:
1.
Enter the programming mode on the keypad, navigate with
the  keys to RF Receivers and press OK.
2.
Select the relevant module bus ID and press OK. For
example, you can select RF Receiver 32, which is a built-
in receiver on the NX-10 panel board.
3.
Select Learn RF Device>Learn Siren/IO, and then select
the new siren number (Siren/IO 1 to 4) and press OK. The
panel starts the learning-in procedure, and the Learn-in
Mode message is displayed on the keypad(s).
4.
Power-up the IO module in the outdoor siren with tamper
open. The battery holds three wires (red-blue-black)
(5)(6)(7) plus a connector. The IO module also holds three
wires (red-blue-black) plus a connector. These connectors
need to be plugged into each other to power up the IO
module.
5.
Wait until the LED on the IO module board blinks for
0.5 sec.
6.
Trigger the tamper by pushing the pin on the tamper lever,
simulating the closing of the housing for at least
0.5 second and maximum of 5 seconds, and release the
tamper again.
7.
The LED on the IO module board will blink for 1 second.
8.
The keypad beeps once to confirm the siren is
programmed.
9.
Verify the battery threshold values. See chapter "Battery
Threshold Values".
Mounting the siren
For mounting instructions, see Figure 3. Pay attention to the
precise placement of the tamper switch against the wall. To
comply with an EN50131-4 grade 2 installation, please take
special care of positioning the tamper switch lever to the wall,
and insert a screw in the wall opposite to the tamper switch
lever. This screw has to be adjusted in height in order to press
adequately on the tamper switch lever so that the microswitch
is in a "closed" position and resting on the screw's head
instead of the wall (see Figure 4, position 1). The siren needs
to signal a tamper alarm when the unit is taken more than
5 mm from its mounting surface (see Figure 4).
