7. D-VO DASHBOARD

7.1.

INTRODUCTION

D-Vo Dashboard is a PC interface tool between the D-Vo system and the User, which:
•
provides a simple and intuitive work environment for the setup of the regulation system parameters;
•
displays in real time the electrical quantities of the system regulated by D-VO;
•
allows to control the state of the system;
•
allows to save the full set of the system parameters as a program or text file.
7.2.

D-VO PREPARATION AND D-VO DASHBOARD INSTALLATION

7.2.1. Minimum system requirements

The following are the minimum system requirements for proper software installation and usage:
•
PC with 1ghz CPU, 256MB RAM, operating system Microsoft Windows® 8 and later.
•
OpenGL ES 2.0 supported by the graphics card.
•
PC with USB port.
We recommend that you use a screen having a minimum resolution of 1600x900.

7.2.2. Connection to the USB-B port of D-Vo

Use a USB cable no more than 3 metres long, with a male B-type connector. Connect the latter to the USB-B port
of D-Vo; connect the other connector to one of the USB ports of the PC.
The communication between PC and D-Vo can works with a powered and non-powered D-Vo unit; in the latter
case, the power supply to the D-Vo microprocessor is ensured by the USB connection.
Any other existing connections (like those with the machine) are not relevant for the communication through USB
or the safety of D-Vo.
The following figure shows the simplest case, i.e. D-Vo with no connections other than the USB one.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
When performing the connection as shown in the figure, that is without powering D-Vo, but only using the USB
power supply, D-Vo displays the Auxiliary supply OFF alarm. The two physical LEDs PWR (green) and ALM (red)
shall both be on, with ALM flashing according to the alarm code described in Paragraph 4.7. Until the USB cable
is removed, the alarm state shall remain active. To disable the alarm just remove the USB cable.
