GENERAL INFORMATION
"Barbican" is a complete programme of chairs with essential lines, a combination of aesthetics, tradition
and modernity. Carefully studied details and delicate but clear lines convey the impact of captivating charm,
and evoke strong feelings about this project with a decisively contemporary look. The surprising aesthetic
balance between the different bases and seats in two configurations, with or without armrests, emerges
from the reduction of all superfluous elements and the proportioned construction of individual components.
Structural elements give the volumes an image of lightness and sobriety. Care of materials and attention
to detail in these chairs have redesigned the proportions elegantly. Harmonious proportions, materials and
refined processes, attention to detail, individual elements in this project contribute to creating a calibrated
blend of lines and volumes. Sophisticated in their simplicity, this series of chairs marks the return to a
traditional design language that blends aesthetic quality and emotional comfort.
Fire-retardant cold-moulded polyurethane foam (CL. 1 IM - UNI9175) is CFC free.
No azoic dyes are used in the manufacture of the fabric covers.
The company reserves the right to make changes to the models.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
The product is destined to be used inside homes. Do not stand on the chair. Do not jump on the structural
parts. Do not sit on the armrests. Avoid doing maintenance on product components. If maintenance is
necessary, call the seller. Normal use of the product causes the padded parts to become squashed during
its average life span. The possible presence of particular odours, coming from the product at the moment
that the packaging is removed, is not dangerous. Odours will disappear when the room is well ventilated. If it
needs to be moved, lift the product to avoid damaging the parts in contact with the floor.
The stitching procedures on covers may differ in relation to the technical and dimensional
characteristics of the MATERIALS (FABRIC/LEATHER), of the structures, or of the covers themselves.
COVER MAINTENANCE
See enclosed technical data sheet.
To remove the cover, it is necessary to detach the structure from the base, and to separate the seat body
from the backrest body.
This operation, and the subsequent assembly, must be carried out by competent personnel in
order to avoid damaging the product.
MAINTENANCE OF WOOD PARTS
For ordinary maintenance purposes, use a soft and dry cloth to remove dust. For greasy-oily dirt (fingerprints),
we suggest treating the surfaces using alcohol diluted in water, and immediately drying it with a soft cloth.
It is best to avoid products containing acetone, chlorine and solvents, abrasive products, furniture wax and
cloths with rigid fibres (linen and synthetic materials), which may ruin and/or scratch the surfaces. All these
operations must be carried out with the utmost attention, and without applying excessive force. Exposure to
direct sunlight may damage the colour of the wood.
MAINTENANCE OF PAINTED PARTS
To maintain the aesthetic characteristics of these finishes over time, and to prevent oxidation processes, it is
necessary to actuate punctual, methodical and meticulous maintenance procedures. For ordinary maintenance
purposes, use a soft and dry cloth to remove dust. For greasy-oily dirt (fingerprints), we suggest treating the
surfaces with normal liquid detergents for cleaning glass. It is best to avoid products containing solvents
and/or alcohol, and cloths with rigid fibres (linen and synthetic materials), which may ruin and/or scratch the
surfaces. Monthly, treat the surfaces with specific products for cleaning/polishing metals.
DISPOSAL
Once discarded, neither the product nor its components should be dispersed in the environment, but rather
consigned to public disposal systems.
