frying
Check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance and plug
the fryer in.
Check if the handle is folded back and turn the fryer on by plugging it in. The red power indicator will light up.
Turn the thermostat button clockwise to the required temperature.
The green thermostat lamp will light up.
Note: always remove the handle out of the oil before heating, otherwise the plastic handle will melt.
As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the green thermostat lamp goes out. The thermostat and the thermostat
lamp will toggle on and off as the thermostat in the fryer maintains the correct temperature.
The fryer is now ready to use.
Add the desired quantity of food to the basket. Do not add too much food at one time (never more than 2/3).
Food should be as dry as possible to reduce the amount of water getting into the oil. Shake the ice off of frozen products
above the sink.
Lower the basket slowly into the oil. If you lower too fast the oil can splash.
Always fry without the lid. This prevents the fryer from overheating and an automatic shutdown. At the same time it ensures
a crispier result.
When the food is deepfried, lift the basket out of the oil. Carefully shake the excessive fat of and hang the basket on the hook
in the reservoir to drain the oil.
Take the basket out of the fryer and serve the food.
Place the basket back.

after frying

When you have finished frying, turn the fryer off by turning the thermostat button anti-clockwise completely
and pull the plug from the socket.
Only store the handle when the oil is fully cooled down. Ensure the handle is folded back before operating the fryer again!
Let the fryer cooldown for several hours before moving the fryer. If you want to move the fryer always use both hands.

tips
• Note: during and after frying it is possible that drops of condensated water fall into the hot oil. The hard noise you can
hear, is the reaction of the water with the oil/fat and is normal. It does not influence the use of the fryer.
• Note: Battered or coated food, like fish, may stick to the basket. To prevent this, lower the basket and than place the food
in the fryer.
• Never salt the product before or during cooking. This will soil the oil.
• For the best results it is advisable not to fry with a full basket, maximum 450 to 500 grams. Fry frozen products in even
smaller portions, because they contain more water and cause the oil to cool down too much.
• If you make your own fries, dry them thoroughly after washing to make sure there will be no water in the oil.
Fry the fresh fries in two times. The first time (pre-cooking) 5 to 10 minutes on 170 degrees. Lift the basket, let the oil
drain and let the fries cool down for several minutes. For the second time turn the temperature control (cooking) to 190
degrees and cook the fries in 2 to 4 minutes. Lift the basket after frying and let the oil drain.
