BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER
FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient or the
patient's caregiver.
The user or caregiver should be able to read, understand and be physically capable
of performing all the directions, warnings and cautions provided in the information
for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
The Procare Hip Abduction Pillow is designed to help position the hips away from
the centre of the body (abduction). It may be suitable for post-operative use to
maintain hip abduction.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Providing immobilization or controlled movement of the limb or body segment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
If you have skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, the product
should be used only after consultation with a medical professional.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

If you experience any pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions
occur while using this product, you should contact your medical professional
immediately.

Do not use over open wounds.
•
Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or package has been opened.
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and competent authority in case of a serious
incident arising due to usage of this device.

APPLICATION INFORMATION:
1) Place pillow between patient's legs with narrow end of pillow toward body. Slide pillow
upward until the prescribed angle of the hips is obtained. Legs should fit comfortably
into the contours on the sides of the pillow.
2) Secure pillow to legs with straps, fastening the pressure-sensitive closures for a snug
but comfortable fit.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand wash in warm water using mild soap. Rinse thoroughly. AIR DRY. Note: If not rinsed
thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and deteriorate material.
WARRANTY:
DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its accessories for material or
workmanship defects for a period of six months from the date of sale. To the extent the
terms of this warranty are inconsistent with local regulations, the provisions of such local
regulations will apply.

USO PREVISTO/INDICACIONES:
La almohadilla de abducción de cadera Procare está diseñada para ayudar a alejar
las caderas del centro del cuerpo (abducción). Puede utilizarse después de una
cirugía para mantener la abducción de la cadera.
CARACTERÍSTICAS DE RENDIMIENTO:
Proporcionar inmovilización o movimiento controlado a la extremidad o segmento
corporal.
CONTRAINDICACIONES:
Si tiene trastornos o lesiones cutáneas en la parte relevante del cuerpo, el
producto debe usarse solo después de consultar con un profesional médico.
ADVERTENCIAS Y PRECAUCIONES:
• Si sufre algún dolor, inflamación, cambios de sensibilidad o cualquier otra reacción
poco frecuente al utilizar este producto, póngase en contacto con su médico
inmediatamente.
• No debe aplicarse sobre heridas abiertas.

No utilice este dispositivo si está dañado o si el envase está abierto.
NOTA: Comuníquese con el fabricante y la autoridad competente en caso de un
incidente grave que surja debido al uso de este dispositivo.
INSTRUCCIONES DE COLOCACIÓN:
1) Coloque el cojín entre las piernas del paciente, con el extremo angosto del cojín en
dirección al cuerpo. Deslice el cojín hacia arriba hasta alcanzar el ángulo prescrito para
las caderas. Las piernas deberían quedar cómodamente colocadas entre los extremos
del cojín.
Sujete el cojín a las piernas con las correas y ajuste sus cierres a presión de manera tal

que queden ceñidas y cómodas a la vez.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA:
Lávelo a mano con agua tibia y jabón suave. Enjuagar completamente. SECADO AL AIRE.
Nota: Si no se enjuaga bien, los restos de jabón pueden provocar irritación y deteriorar el
material.
GARANTÍA:
DJO, LLC se compromete a reparar o sustituir la totalidad o parte del producto y sus
accesorios por defectos del material o de mano de obra durante los seis meses siguientes a
la fecha de venta. Si los términos de esta garantía son incompatibles con la normativa local,
se aplicarán las disposiciones de la normativa local.
