QUICK START GUIDE
1 INSERT THE MICRO SIM CARD
You find the SIM card slot at the bottom of the
RouDem. Carefully remove the SIM card from
the card and press on the top of the SIM card to
ensure there is a smooth surface. Now you are
ready to insert the SIM card in the RouDem with
the angled corner facing the left and the gold
area facing down. When the SIM card is placed
correctly you will hear a 'click'
RouDem's SIM card slot has a click system. It is
important that you do not use tweezers, pliers or
other tools to force the SIM card out or in. Use
the click system and gently insert/remove the
SIM card with your fingers.
2 CLICK THE CABLE INTO PLACE
You find the cable input at the bottom of the Rou-
Dem. The network cable transmits both data and
power. If a different length is needed, you must
you use the right category network cable with
RJ45 connectors. See information in the technical
specifications.
3 MOUNT THE MOUNTING BRACKET OR THE BASEPLATE
You have to either mount the mounting bracket or the baseplate - not both. It is required to
mount the baseplate if you do not mount the mounting bracket to avoid humidity and dirt
entering RouDem.
On a pole - mounting bracket: Pass the cable through the hole in the mounting bracket
and mount the waterproof split gland* around the cable. Affix with the five screws using
the supplied Torx 10 key. Tighten the mounting bracket to the pole by tightening the two
screws with the supplied Unbraco 4 key.
Horizontal surface - baseplate: Affix the baseplate with the five screws using the supplied
Torx 10 key.
*Split gland instruction: (1) unscrew the outer part of the split gland inside the bracket
(2) pass the cable through the hole from outside and into the bracket (3) a rubber ring
will fall out (4) mount the rubber ring on the cable (5) place the cable back into the
'teeth' (6) screw back the outer part and make sure it is tightened.
4 CONNECT THE CABLE TO THE POWER ADAPTER
Connect the cable from the RouDem to the power adapter and plug it into an indoor
power outlet. You must insert the cable in the right side input as the sticker shows. If the
RouDem is battery powered, turn it on using the button on the bottom. Full charging
takes 6 hours, after which it can operate for at least 8 hours on battery power.
