Allgemeine Hinweise
Vor dem Öffnen des Gehäuses zuerst den Netzstecker ziehen!
Achtung: ESD-Vorschriften beachten
Servicestellung
Gerät zum Öffnen auf eine weiche kratzfreie Unterlage legen.
Leitungsverlegung
Bevor Sie die Leitungen und insbesondere die Masseleitungen lösen,
muss die Leitungsverlegung zu den einzelnen Baugruppen beachtet
werden.
Nach erfolgter Reparatur ist es notwendig, die Leitungsführung wieder
in den werkseitigen Zustand zu versetzen um evtl. spätere Ausfälle
oder Störungen zu vermeiden.
Software-Versionsnummer
Die Software-Versionsnummer wird im Menü "Info" angezeigt.
Besonderheiten von Plasma-Displays
Plasma-Bildschirme arbeiten auf der Basis von Leuchtstoffen. Bei
dieser Technologie kann es unter bestimmten Betriebsbedingungen
zu Einbrenneffekten kommen. Dies kann sein:
– ständige Anzeige eines Standbildes;
– dauernde Anzeige des gleichen Hintergrundes;
– Verwendung eines Bildformates (z.B. 4:3), das nicht bildschirm-
füllend ist.
Einmal entstandene Einbrennungen können in der Regel nicht rück-
gängig gemacht werden. Ein mehrtägiger Betrieb mit einem Weißbild
kann die Einbrennungen reduzieren.
Zur Vermeidung von Einbrennungen beachten Sie bitte:
– während der ersten 100 Betriebsstunden sollten vorwiegend be-
wegte Bilder bzw. häufig wechselnde Standbilder bildschirmfüllend
angezeigt werden;
– verwenden Sie ein bildschirmfüllendes Format (16:9);

General Notes
Before opening the cabinet disconnect the mains plug!
Attention: Observe the ESD safety regulations
Service Position
Place the set on a soft and non scratching pad.
Wiring
Before disconnecting any leads and especially the earth connecting
leads observe the way they are routed to the individual assemblies.
On completion of the repairs the leads must be laid out as originally
fitted at the factory to avoid later failures or disturbances.
Software Version Number
The Software version number is shown in the "Info" menu.
Characteristics of Plasma Displays
Plasma screens operate using florescent materials. This technology
can suffer sticking effects under certain operating conditions. These
include:
– Prolonged display of a freeze-frame
– Constant display of the same background
– Use of a picture format (such as 4:3) which does not fill the screen.
Once these sticking effects occur, they cannot normally be reversed.
Operation with white screen for a few days can reduce sticking effects.
To avoid sticking effects please note:
– During the first 100 operating hours, ensure that the television
displays mostly moving pictures or frequently changing stills which
fill the screen.
– Use a picture format which fills the screen (16:9).
– Always activate the screensaver when using a PC.
– Decrease the contrast and brightness as much as possible.
– Switch off the device when it is not in use.
