Heating Controller 5 to 40 °C,
for the use of foil heaters and panel heaters
These instructions must be read carefully before starting the installation work!
Product summary:
The controller is used to automatically regulate the temperature.
A connected NTC sensor measures the temperature at the installation location, such
as in the heating screed, or in the heated wall construction and switches the heating
power on or off depending on the set temperature value.
By operating the rotary knob, the temperature can be continuously adjusted to the
desired value. An LED lights up when the heating is switched on. The controller has
an On/Off switch for easy switching on or off of the heating.
Installation position of the temperature controller and the sensor:
The temperature controller is mounted on the wall at a height of 80 to 150 cm from the floor. In locations with increased
humidity, the temperature controller should be installed as far away as possible from sources of humidity in accordance with
the applicable standards.
The NTC sensor complies with DIN 44574. The sensor cable can be extended by 3 m using a power cable (1.5m²). The
sensor must be installed in a separate empty conduit so that it can be replaced and interference from live cables is avoided.
Only the sensor belonging to the controller may be used.
Install the floor temperature sensor at least 15 cm into the heated surface - always in an installation pipe (corrugated plastic
pipe). This must be covered at the end so that no building material enters the pipe. The sensor must not cross any heating
pipes. Install the sensor centrally or at least 3.5 cm away from the heating pipes.
The installation of the unit may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Assembly:
Carefully lever out the rotary knob with a screwdriver. Unscrew the housing cover.
Connection / Assignment:
1. supply line mains phase heating mat (colour brown / black)
2. supply cable neutral conductor (blue)
3. connection heating mat (colour brown / black)
4. connection heating mat (colour blue)
5. -
6. connection sensor S1
7. connection sensor S2
Only the supplied sensor may be used.
If heating mats with protective braiding are used, the protective braiding must be separately
connected to the protective earth conductor of the mains (PE / conductor colour green-yellow).
Insert the controller into the flush-mounted box without damaging the connecting cables on the rear of the unit.
Tighten the screws on the flush-mounted box.
Fit the housing cover and replace the rotary knob.
