Intended Use
The product is intended for connection to a USB port to be used for the playback of audio sig-
nals. The power supply and the audio playback is via USB.
To function, a USB port is necessary that must be able to deliver a current of 500mA (e.g. a USB
port on your computer or one on a USB hub with its own mains unit).

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
• The product must not get damp or wet.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for chil-
dren.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.
• Excess volume may cause hearing damage.
• Do not keep any magnetic storage media such as disks, video cassettes or similar close to the
speakers as the magnetic field of the loudspeakers may corrupt the information stored on
these media.
• Do not place the USB speakers directly besides a computer monitor or television that has a
traditional picture tube, as the magnetic field of the speakers may interfere with the image. For
modern flat screen televisions there is no such restriction.
Connection and Start-up
The two speakers are marked with „L" and „R", place the speaker „L" to the left side and the
speaker „R" to the right side.
The placement location has to be stable, flat and sufficiently large. Protect the surface of valu-
able furniture with suitable padding, otherwise the speakers may leave scratch marks or dents.
Lay the cables so they are not bent or crushed.
The USB speaker set requires a USB port for operation, which must be capable of providing a
current of 500mA (a so-called „high power USB port"). This may be a USB port on the front or
rear of the computer or a USB port on a USB hub with a separate power supply.
USB ports on a keyboard or a monitor are not suitable, in most cases, for operating
the USB loudspeaker set.
When using a laptop, it may be necessary to supply the laptop with electricity via a
power adaptor, as the laptop's battery may not provide sufficient current for the USB
speaker set.
First, turn the volume controller anticlockwise to set the volume to the minimum.
Then connect the USB plug of the USB speaker set to a free USB port on your computer (or to
that of a USB hub with power adaptor).
Windows will recognize the new hardware and finish the driver installation; the LED on the USB
speaker is lit.
Since the drivers are integrated in Windows, no data carrier with the driver software
is included in the delivery.
If your computer has its own sound card (e.g. on the mother board), it will not be used any longer,
as all the audio playback will be conveyed through the USB speaker set.
In the event the audio playback does come through the mother board again (e.g. through the

audio port on the front or back side of your computer), you can either define the USB speaker
set or you can switch between the USB speaker set and the internal sound card of the comput-
er in the Windows control panel.

Start audio playback e.g. of an MP3 data and set the sound volume as required. Should the

sound volume be too low, check the volume settings on the playback software.
Wall Mounting
As a distinctive feature you can mount both speakers onto the wall. To do this, the base must be
pivoted 90°.
Make sure when screwing into place (especially when drilling holes) that cables or wires are not
damaged.
Cleaning
The use of a dry, soft, lint-free cloth is sufficient to clean the product. Do not apply too much pres-
sure, it can scratch the product.
Dust can be removed very easily by a long-haired, clean, soft brush or with a vacuum cleaner.
