firelighters, barbeque lighting fluid or gel available from shops.
5) Ensure that the firelighters have burnt out completely before putting the food on to
cook. Keep the firelighters out of the reach of children.
6) Never move the appliance when it is lit.
7) Keep children and domestic animals away from the barbeque.
8) The tray of the appliance should be filled with charcoal to a maximum 70% of its capacity
and with only one layer of briquettes.
9) Before using for the first time, light your appliance for 30 minutes and allow it cool down.
10) Only use charcoal and briquettes which conform to EN1860-2 standards.
LIGHTING YOUR BARBECUE:
•
Wear protective gloves when working with your appliance.
•
For best results, light the charcoal in our Fire Mountain charcoal starter then add
to the barbecue tray once a grey ash has formed.
•
Otherwise, arrange the charcoal in the tray in a pyramid shape
•
Start the fire either by spreading liquid or gel firelighters or by putting 2 or 3 fire
lighting cubes on the charcoal
11) After lighting your barbecue and before starting to cook, wait until a fine layer of grey
ash has formed.
12) After each use, leave to cool down then carefully clean your appliance and utensils, and
empty the cinders out of the tray.
