• Keep the barbecue protected from the wind and
direct drafts.
• The ground must be firm, level and stable.
• Never place the barbecue near or on flammable
materials, even when cooling down. Keep a
distance of at least 100 cm to flammable
materials.
• The barbecue must stand on a base that can
withstand heat of up to at least 80 °C. The
barbecue becomes very hot when in use.
• Remember that hot fat may drip out at the
bottom of the fire bowl. Do not place the
barbecue on a surface that may be damaged by
the hot fat or heat generated by the barbecue.
• Observe the safety instructions, see chapter
"Safety precautions when handling liquid gas"
on page 9.
Connecting to a gas cylinder

WARNING! Explosion hazard
• Only change the gas cylinder outdoors
in a well-ventilated area, away from
naked flames, any other source of
ignition, and other people.
• Do not connect to a remote gas supply
such as natural gas or a refillable gas
cylinder.
• Only connect the barbecue to an
allowed gas cylinder type.

Tighten the screw connection from the
pressure regulator to the gas cylinder by
hand only.

Always use gas accessories complying
with the national regulations in your
country (e.g. EN 417 and EN 484):
• Butane or propane gas cylinder
(not supplied)
• Gas pressure regulator (28 – 30 mbar
for butane, 37 mbar for propane)

• Gas hose (maximum length 1.5 m)
(not supplied)
See your LPG dealer or supplying dealer
for these accessories.
1. Inspect the barbecue, gas cylinder and its
connections for damage, dirt or debris before
connecting the gas cylinder. Do not use if
either is damaged or modified.
2. Ensure that the burner valve of the barbecue is
in the "OFF" Position (turned fully clockwise)
before you connect the barbecue to a gas
supply.
3. To connect the barbecue to a gas cylinder
proceed as shown (fig. 5, page 4 to fig. 7,
page 5).
4. Ensure the regulator is correctly connected to
the gas cylinder.
5. Connect the gas regulator to the gas cylinder
following the manufacturers instruction.
6. Check that all connections are tight.
7. Turn on the gas regulator.

WARNING! Explosion hazard
Do not try to detect gas leaks using a
flame or a pilot light.
8. Check all connections for gas leaks:
– Coat all connections, using soapy water.
– If bubbles appear, immediately turn off the
gas regulator and re-tighten the connection
before re-testing.
– If bubbles appear again, do not continue to
use the device. Contact an authorized service
agent.
9. If no leaks are detected, turn the regulator
valve to the "OFF" position.
