PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
Mixers of the KAWA series are fit for operating with hot water
collectors under pressure, instantaneous and gas water-heaters.
ATTENTION: the connection with hot water collectors
without pressure (with open circuit) is not possible.

INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL PARTS (ref. Fig. A→F)
- Prepare an appropriate hole in the wall and insert the tap
with the protection ASSEMBLED. The installation proportions
are indicated in Fig. A-B (the admissible depth of the fitting
into the wall is meant with the complete wall including the
coating).
- Connect the mixer to the supply pipes. Do not weld the mixer
to the pipes.
- Check position with a spirit level.
- Open the ducts of water and check the tightness of the
connections (maximum test pressure 16 bar static).
- Apply the tiles to the wall so that they butt against the
protection casings (1) (2).
INSTALLATION OF EXTERNAL PARTS (ref. Fig. G→Q)
- Trim with a cutter the protection's part (1) (2) in excess.
- Turn the screws (3) out with a 3 mm Allen wrench and
remove the plug (4)(5).
- Check that there are the sealing's O Rings (6)(7)on the
external body and on the showerhead's connection.
- Assemble the external body (8), the showerhead's holder (9)
and tighten the screws (3).
- Mount the covering plate (10) (11).
- Mount the showerhead (12) on the rod (13) and tighten with the
screws (14).
- Mount the asssembled showerhead on the holder (9) and tighten
with the pins (15), using a 2,5 mm. Allen wrench and with the
screws (16) with a 3 mm. Allen wrench.
- Insert the cartridge's escutcheon (17).
- Assemble the lever (18) screwing the locking pin (19) with an
Allen wrench of 2,5 mm.
- Mount the covering (20) and tighten by the locking pins
(21) with a 2,5 mm Allen wrench; assemble then the
covering caps (22).
REPLACEMENT OF THE MIXING VALVE WITH
CERAMIC DISCS (ref. Fig. P→R)
- Close the hot water and cold water inlets.
- Remove the covering caps (22), unscrew the locking pins
(21) with a 2.5 mm Allen wrench and disassemble the covering
(20).
- Unscrew the locking pin (19) with a 2.5 mm Allen wrench and
remove the lever (18).
- Disassemble the cover cartridge (7), unscrewing the nut
(13) with a 27 mm wrench and remove the mixing valve (14).
- Insert the new mixing valve verifying that no dirt is left
between the plane surface and the gaskets.
- Screw the caps (13) by DYNAMOMETRIC WRENCH
applying a coupling torque of 10Nm.
- Proceed in the opposite way to reassemble the mixer again.

Los mezcladores de la serie KAWA son idoneos para el
funcionamiento con acumuladores de agua caliente bajo presión,
calderas instantáneos eléctricos y a gas.
ATENCION: la conexión con acumuladores de agua caliente sin
presión (circuito abierto) no es posible.

INSTALACIÓN PARTES EMPOTRADAS (ref. Fig. A→F)
- Preparen un hueco adecuado en la pared e introduzcan el
mezclador con la protección MONTADA. Las cotas de instalación
se indican en la Fig. A –B (la profundidad por empotrar admisible
se entiende con pared acabada, revestimiento incluso).
- Atornillen los connexiones silenciados (1) y conectan el mezclador
a los tubos de alimentación. No efectúen soldaduras entre el
mezclador y los tubos.
- Comprobar la colocación mediante un nivelador.
- Abran la alimentación del agua y controlen el cierre de los
connexiones (presión máxima de ensayo: 16 bar, estática).
- Aplicar los azulejos sobre la pared de modo que rozen los
envoltorios de protección (1) (2).
INSTALACIÓN PARTES EXTERNAS (ref. Fig. G→Q)
- Recorten utilizando un troquel la parte en exceso de la protección
(1) (2).
- Destornillen los tornillos (3) con la ayuda de una llave de Allén de
3 mm y quiten el tapón (4)(5).
- Verifiquen si hay OR de cierre (6)(7) en el cuerpo exterior y sobre
la conexión del pomo de ducha.
- Monten el cuerpo exterior (8), el soporte del pomo de ducha (9) y
cierren con los tornillos (3).
- Monten la placa de cobertura (10) (11).
- Monten el pomo de ducha (12) sobre la varilla (13) y cierren
utilizando los tornillos (14).
- Monten el pomo de ducha ensamblado sobre el soporte (9) y
cierren utilizando las clavijas de fijación (15) con la ayuda de una
llave de Allén de 2,5 mm. y los tornillos (16) con la ayuda de una
llave de Allén de 3 mm.
- Introduzcan el cubre-cartucho (17)
- Monten la maneta (18) cerrando el perno de fijación (19) con una
llave Allen de 2,5 mm.
- Monten la cobertura (20) y cierren utilizando las clavijas de
fijación (21) con la ayuda de una llave de Allén de 2.5 mm; apliquen
las plaquitas de cobertura (22).
SUSTITUCIÓN DE LA VÁLVULA MEZCLADORA
CON DISCOS CERÁMICOS (ref. Fig. P→R)
- Cierren las entradas del agua caliente y del agua fría.
- Quiten las plaquitas de cobertura (22), destornillen las clavijas de
fijación (21) utilizando una llave de Allén de 2.5 mm y desmonten
la cobertura (20).
- Destornillen la clavija de fijación (19) con una llave de Allén
de 2.5 mm y quiten la palanca (18).
- Desmonten el cubre-cartucho (7), destornillen el casquete (13) con
la ayuda de una llave de 27 mm y quiten la válvula mezcladora (14).
- Introduzcan la nueva válvula mezcladora cuidando con que no
quede incrustaciones entre el llano y las juntas.
- Atornillen el casquillo (13) con la LLAVE DINAMOMÉTRICA,
aplicando un par de apriete de 10Nm.
- Procedan según el procedimiento inverso para volver a montar el
mezclador.
