· Store in a cool and dry place
· Never immerse the batteries in liquids.
· After successfully charging the batteries, unplug the charging unit from the wall socket.
· Do not cover the batteries or charging units (with carpet, pillows, bedding etc.)
Risk of fire! Risk of explosion!
Never use damaged, defective or deformed batteries. Do not open, damage or drop
the batteries. Do not charge the batteries near acids or easily-flammable materials.
Protect the batteries from heat and fire. Only use the batteries at an ambient
temperature of between 5°C and +40°C. Never lay the batteries on heaters or
expose them to direct sunlight for an extended period. After heavy use, first allow

them to cool. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals! The batteries are to be
wrapped up or packaged (in a plastic bag or box) for disposal, transport or storage.
Alternatively, the battery electrodes may also be covered with tape.
Operating instructions:
The batteries come only partially charged and must be fully charged before the first use.
Use only original KaWe charging handles and charging stations.
NiMH-rechargeable battery
If the battery no longer provides enough energy to power your device, turn off the device
immediately and charge the battery. (Avoid a deep discharge of the rechargeable battery,
as this will destroy it.)
Please note that these batteries will self-discharge. If they are not needed for a longer
period of time (used and charged) they will self-discharge, lose capacity and can sustain
permanent damage. The battery capacity decreases, and the rechargeable batteries may
fail. The rechargeable batteries should therefore be stored with a charge of no less than
50% if they are to be in storage for longer than one month.
Always heed the given charging time, as overcharging will damage the battery. (KaWe
MedCharge 4000 charging stations are equipped with an integrated automatic shut-off
function.)
