Intended Use / Application Areas
The Hand Reacher is a class 1 medical device.
This aid for daily life can be used daily both indoors and outdoors. Users can singlehand-
edly grip and lift up objects that are farther away, enabling them to reach a little further. At
the gripping end there is a magnet to lift metal objects more easily.
Any use that goes above and beyond this does not comply with the intended use.
Indication / Patient Target Group / Intended Users
The product is suitable for children, adolescents, and adults who have difficulty lifting ob-
jects due to functional injuries to the upper extremities and / or to the torso. Furthermore, it
is suitable for people who have limited locomotor function because of joint disorders, neu-
rological disorders, consequences of injuries, or deformities. The user has to have sufficient
muscular strength in the hand and use of the hand.
Risks Associated with Use and Contraindications
If used properly, risks can be eliminated during use. There are no known contraindications.

Product Description

Your product is delivered with the standard equipment and comes preassembled. A copy of
the Instructions for Use is enclosed with the product.
The user is taught how to use this device by trained staff who will reference these Instruc-
tions for Use.

To lift an object with the Hand Reacher, grasp it with the grasp-
ing claw by pulling the grasping lever to the handle with the
grasping hand. Lift the object and move it to another place.
If you now release the gripping lever again, the gripping claw
opens and the object can be placed at the desired location.
