Cleaning the air filter
CAUTION!
Wear a dust mask so that you do not inhale the unpleasant dust by
mistake.
• Place the generator on a flat surface.
• Unscrew the butterfly bolt
open the side housing cover.
• Open the air filter

with a Phillips screwdriver (not
supplied).
• Remove the air filter cap.
• Remove the filter element.
• Cleaning the filter element:
− Carefully blow out the filter element outside with compressed air,
− carefully vacuum the filter element
− or rinse the filter element with mild soapy water and allow it to dry
thoroughly.
• Thoroughly wipe the air filter cover and air filter housing from the outside
and inside with a slightly moistened cloth. Moisten the cloth with a mild soap
solution.
• Insert the filter element into the air filter housing.
• Place the air filter cover on the housing. Ensure that the air filter cover is
seated straight.
• Use a Phillips screwdriver (not supplied) to retighten the retaining screw.
• Assemble the side housing and motor cover again with the butterfly bolt in
reverse order.
