Foreseeable misuse

Foreseeable misuse and operating errors can arise, for example, from failure to read or observe instructions.
This can be caused by a variety of factors, such as by convenience, by employees being overworked or short on
time, etc.

Foreseeable (negligent) misuse will result in the loss of warranty and liability claims if they are not excluded with
technical and organisational measures as far as possible! Prevention of misuse can in principle not be sufficiently
achieved on the side of the polarity reversing control unit in all cases!

Risk of injuries!
Errors during operation of the control unit can, in principle, result in e.g.
damage and injuries, even death, if e.g. magnetically attached loads are no
longer held securely and start sliding or are ejected.
This can be caused by e.g. inputs on the control unit if additional safety

devices of the system have been disabled or incorrect minimum values
are entered.
In these cases, additional organisational safety measures or safety de-
■
vices must therefore be provided at the level of the higher level machine
which prevent unexpected releasing of loads or prevent access to the
hazard areas. Puncture-proof operating doors, etc. may also have to be
provided.
Incorrect inputs on the control unit can be made, e.g. if:
■
- technical blocking mechanisms are not available or have been per-
manently or temporarily disabled
- upper and lower limits for enabling actions have been set incorrectly
(e.g. for clamping force monitoring)
Risk of electric shock, risk of crushing or injuries from fallen
parts!
Triggering clamping and unclamping operations can expose third persons in
the danger zone to the risk of electric shock, entrapment or hitting by parts
thrown away.
If persons are present in the hazard area of the machine, switching on

the control unit is prohibited and must be reliably prevented with techni-
cal measures, if necessary.
