START-UP AND USE

1. Make sure that the appliance is in good condition and that the protective shield is correctly mounted. (Figure 3.1)
2. Adjust the appliance to the desired length using the central nut (J) and put the ergonomic handle (I) in the most comfortable
position. (Figure 3.2)
3. Plug the appliance into an outlet as specifi ed, after ensuring that the safety measures have been followed. (Figure 3.3)
4. Hold the appliance with both hands using the ergonomic handle and the central grip. (Figure 3.4)
5. Place the protective shield on the plant to be treated and turn the appliance on using the ON/OFF switch. (Figure 3.5)
6. Keep the equipment on the plant or area to be treated for approximately 5 seconds. (Figure 3.5) You will not see any changes in
the plant, but after a few days it will dry out. It is not necessary to burn them, the intense heat will destroy the cell structure and
the weeds will die.
7. Depending on the plant, more than one treatment may be necessary.
8. For more resistant weeds (thistles, branches, etc.) the treatment will have to be repeated after one or two weeks.
9. Depending on the type of weed or plant to be treated, it will also be necessary to expose them to heat for a longer time to heat.
10. For tall plants, apply heat fi rst to the upper area and then cover the shrunken plant with the protective shield.
11. The best time to remove weeds is in spring. The treatment will be more effective the younger the plant or when it is treated at
an early stage.
12. The equipment can also be used to light the charcoal of a barbecue. (Figure 3.6) In this case, follow the instructions and
recommendations of the barbecue manufacturers. For this use, direct the protective shield directly on the charcoal, at the base
of the barbecue and activate the equipment. The moment the coal is incandescent, the jet of air will start the fl ame. At that point,
keep the appliance at a greater distance or apply where there is no fl ame. Ignition can take between 30 seconds and 2 minutes
depending on the charcoal. Keep an eye out for fl ying sparks when lighting charcoal, as they can create a fi re hazard.
