ACS-8 Mains/Charger Unit Selection and Settings
2.1
Mains/Charger dimensioning
The ACS-8 systems are always delivered without mains/charger units. The following current power supply
units are available for installation in the ACS-8 housing:

Installation note
•
Remove the marked bolt on the ACS-8 enclosure rear housing side / enclosure base as marked
in Figure 2.
•
Mount the Mains/Charger unit as described in chapter 10 of the ACS-8 installation instructions.
•
The Mains/Charger units are compatible with the connection of the previous power supply
units (see Figure 1)

2.3
Setting the DIP switch S1
The Mains/Charger unit can be used on different central systems depending on the operating mode.
•
The operating mode is selected by means of jumper J2
•
When using the Mains/Charger unit in ACS-8 systems, remove jumper J2!
•
Fault messages are transmitted at pin "S" and "Netz" of the connector.
To select the fault messages which are programmed via DIP S1, please refer to chapter 7.2 in
the Installation and connection instructions of the power supply unit.
