GB Instructions for use
Before using
Read the instructions carefully. They contain important
information for the use, safety and maintenance of the
appliance. Keep them in a safe place and transfer them to
a possible succeeding user. Only use the appliance for the
purpose mentioned in these instructions. Due to sanitary
reasons the appliance is excluded from exchange after
usage. When using pay particular attention to the following
safety advice.
Safety advice
– Only connect appliance to alternating current - with a
rated voltage according to the rating plate - to a correctly
installed earthed socket.
– Appliances with electrical plugs shall only be used in dry
and inhouse rooms.
– The appliance is made for interruptive operation „AB
30 / 30 min". After 30 minutes of operation at the
latest a stop of 30 minutes is obligatory in order to
avoid an overheating of the transformer.
– Use the appliance only with the plug transformer that
accompanies the appliance. If that becomes defect it
has to be replaced by an identical device that can be
obtained at the service center of the manufacturer.
– Do not use the plug transformer with other appliances.
– Do not carry the plug transformer at the cord and do not
pull out of the socket.
– Only use an extension cord in perfect condition.
– Children are not aware of the dangers that can be cau-
sed by electrical appliances. Therefore never leave the
appliance unattended during use. Use and store the
appliance out of reach of children.
– The appliance must not be used in a bath tub, shower or
above a water filled wash basin.
– Never operate the appliance with moist or wet hands.
– Always disconnect the appliance when not in use.
– If the following happens do not use the appliance and
unplug it immediately:
- the plug transformer is damaged.
- any defect after a plunge or something similar is
suspected.
In these cases have the appliance repaired.
– The plug transformer must not come in contact with
water even when cleaning the appliance.
– In the case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect
repair no liability will be taken for possible damages.
Claims under guarantee are also excluded in such
cases.
– When the appliance is used by various persons disea-
ses of the skin can be transmitted (e. g. athlete's foot).
Additional tools and abrasive discs can be purchased
from the manufacturer so that every user can use his /
her own tools.
– The appliance is not designed for commercial purposes.
Information about usage
The ProfiManicureSet consists of a plug transformer with
two appliances, a manicure appliance and a hardskin
grinder.
The manicure appliance enables an optimal manicure
and pedicure the easy way. Nails of hands and feet can be
shaped as desired with 6 various accessories.
Nails can be polished and hardskin on the fingers can be
ground away.
The hardskin grinder enables the user to perform an opti-
mal and gentle removal of annoying hard skin on heels,
balls of the feet and toes as well as on hands and elbows.
This is body care the easy way. Two abrasive discs each
are supplied with various grain size.
Putting into operation
Insert the plug of the cord in the socket at the back of the
respective appliance and to fix it turn by 90
Then connect the plug transformer to a socket. The switch
on the plug transformer allows the selection of various vol-
tages for different rotary speeds.
Please test the different speeds for the various tools and
abrasive discs. You will soon be able to choose the speed
that fits you best. The appliance is switched on with the sli-
ding switch.
Usage of the Manicure
Hands and feet are easier to care after a bath in warm
water. Nails and hard skin are softer.
The change of accessories has to be done with the appli-
ance switched off and is very easy:
The tool to be changed is pulled out at the front and the
new tool is pushed in as far as it will go.
– The pointed abrasive pen and the grinding disc are
used to grind and shorten the nails of hands and feet.
– The milling cutter is used with especially thick nails.
– In order to remove hard skin from the top of the fingers,
palm of the hand, toes and heels use the cylindrical
abrasive pen.
– The polishing felt polishes nails before they are
painted.
– For cleaning afterwards use the polishing brush.
Usage of the Hardskin Grinder
The abrasive discs are changed very easily with the velcro
closure. Just press the desired disc firmly onto the front of
the appliance. The hard skin that is to be removed should
be dry. Never bath the hard skin in water prior to the treat-
ment. Move the appliance in rotary movements over the
surfaces that are to be treated using light pressure. The
grinding disc with the fine grains should be used for the
hands. Thick and especially resistant hard skin as it can
occur on the feet is best treated with the rough abrasive
disc. Afterwards polish with the fine grain disc.
Cleaning
Unplug the base from the power socket. Do not immerse
the appliance in water but clean with a damp cloth and a
small quantity of washing up liquid. Rub dry afterwards.
The tools have to be brushed after use. Remove the abra-
sive discs and tap them off.
