Mounting the ultrasonic capsule
NOTE:
When built into the vehicle the ultrasonic capsule may not be covered
ƒ
with a membrane or similar. A free view of the satellites is absolutely
necessary for the ultrasonic capsule to operate properly.
The exact position of the ultrasonic capsule on the vehicle body or dri-
ƒ
ver cab roof is unimportant during its installation as the measurements
are filed in the Car System Digital software during the programming of
the vehicle. Care should be taken that, after putting the trunk or the
body on, the ultrasonic capsule and the installed batteries may not inter-
fere with each other.
On a bus model select the front half of the vehicle, it is the best suita-
ƒ
ble place to install the ultrasonic capsule. On a lorry model we recom-
mend, on the body roof, a position that is approximately above the
motor. You will thus save space in the rear section of the vehicle for the
ulterior installation of the conversion PCB. In the front section of the
vehicle, the space necessary for the ultrasonic capsule is not sufficient
owing to the built-in batteries.
