Universal patient positioning aid for MR and
CT imaging
Short-term patient positioning and stabiliza-
tion device during invasive and non-invasive
procedures to be used on intact patient's
skin. Non-Sterile and not to be used in the
sterile field.
Before using on a patient, cover the dis-
infected Multipad with a single-use sanitary
cover (Cover Multipad).
Note: Using the cover is essential for sani-
tary reasons as well as to protect the posi-
tioning system.
Move the patient into the correct position
in preparation for the examination. If neces-
sary, position the Multipad between the
part of the body that needs stabilizing and
the MR coil or CT support.
Note: The polystyrene pearls should face
the patient.
Pump up the Multipad until the required
degree of support has been attained. Do
not over-pump. The patient should find the
pressure pleasant. Position the pump and
tube to avoid them from getting caught
when the patient is moved into the scanner.
Position the pump far away from the field of
view.
Once the examination is complete (see
instructions provided by the device manu-
facturer), deflate the Multipad by pressing
the valve on the hand pump. Remove the
Multipad from the patient.
Dispose of the single-use sanitary cover
(Cover Multipad) and squeeze the remain-
ing air out of the Multipad by hand.
Clean the Multipad using any readily
available hospital disinfectant. The disin-
fectant should be applied as directed but
thoroughly wiped off after application.
Note: Do not immerse the Multipad in
cleaning fluid. Optimal functionality guaran-
teed until red indication line appears on the
Multipad.
Contraindications: Do not use the product with
children below the age of 3. Do not use the product
for purposes other than those described.

with the skin. Use single-use sanitary cover.
Do not use in case of acute open wounds.
Do not inflate with compressed air. Position
the pump far away from the field of view.

Universell einsetzbares Patientenpositionie-
rungssystem für MR und CT Bildgebung
Kurzzeitige Patientenpositionierung und
-stabilisierung während invasiver und
nichtinvasiver Verfahren zur Anwendung auf
der intakten Haut. Nicht steril und nicht im
sterilen Bereich zu verwenden.
Vor Anwendung am Patienten das gerei-
nigte Multipad mit dem zugehörigen Ein-
weg-Hygieneüberzug (Cover Multipad)
überziehen.
Beachten: Der Gebrauch des Covers ist
aus hygienischen Gründen und zum Schutz
des Produktes unerlässlich.
Patient zur Vorbereitung der Messung in
Position bringen. Multipad nach Bedarf zwi-
schen dem zu stabilisierendem Körperteil
und MR-Spule respektive CT-Halterung
positionieren.
Beachten: Die transparente, mit Perlen
gefüllte Kammer zum Patienten richten.
Multipad aufpumpen, bis gewünschte
Fixierung erreicht ist. Nicht zu stark auf-
pumpen. Der Patient soll den Druck als
angenehm empfinden. Pumpe und
Schlauch so platzieren, dass kein Verhaken
dieser Komponenten beim Einfahren des
Patienten in den Scanner möglich ist.
Pumpe so platzieren, dass sich diese weit
ausserhalb des Messbereiches befindet.
Nach erfolgter Messung (Gebrauchsan-
weisung des Gerätehersteller beachten)
die Luft durch Drücken des Ventils an der
Handpumpe aus dem Multipad ablassen.
Multipad vom Patienten entfernen.
Einweg-Hygieneüberzug (Cover Multi-
pad) entsorgen und restliche Luft mit der
Hand aus dem Multipad drücken.
Multipad mit herkömmlichem Desinfekti-
onsmittel reinigen. Das Desinfektionsmittel
gemäss Herstellerinformation auftragen
und anschliessend sorgfältig abwischen.
Beachten: Multipad nicht in Reinigungsflüs-
sigkeit eintauchen. Optimale Funktion
garantiert bis die rote Indikationslinie auf
dem Multipad erscheint.
Kontraindikationen: Produkt nicht bei Kindern unter
3 Jahren anwenden. Produkt nicht für andere Ver-
fahren, als die in der Zweckbestimmung beschrie-
benen, verwenden.
MR-sicher
Nicht steril.
Nicht sterilisieren. Nicht direkt auf der Haut
anwenden. Einweg-Hygieneüberzug verwen-
den. Nicht bei akuten offenen Verletzungen
anwenden. Nicht mit Druckluft aufblasen.
Pumpe so platzieren, dass sich diese weit
ausserhalb des Mess bereiches befindet.
