1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der USB-10AV ist ein Adapter, mit dem sich Camcor-
der, Kameras oder andere Videoquellen an ein Note-
book oder an einen PC mit USB-Schnittstelle an-
schließen lassen. Die beiliegende CD beinhaltet Be-
diensoftware in Englisch und verschiedene Treiber.

2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht der EU-Richtlinie für elektro-
magnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG.
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich
geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritz-
wasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger
Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder
Wasser.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlos-
sen, nicht fachgerecht repariert oder die Software
nicht richtig installiert, kann keine Garantie für das
Gerät und keine Haftung für dadurch resultierende
Sach- oder Personenschäden übernommen werden.

The USB-10AV is an adapter which allows connection
of camcorders, cameras, or other video sources to a
notebook or a PC with USB interface. The supplied CD
includes operating software in English and various
drivers.

2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to the directive 89/336/EEC for
electromagnetic compatibility.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is not correctly connected or not re-
paired in an expert way, or if the software is not cor-
rectly installed, there is no guarantee for the unit and
no liability for possible resulting damage to persons
or material.

Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerech-
ten Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Software-Installation
1) Den USB-Stecker (1) des Grabbers in einen freien
USB-Steckplatz am Rechner stecken. Das Be-
triebssystem erkennt nun das neue Gerät und fragt
nach dem dazugehörigen Treiber.
2) Die beiliegende CD in das CD-Laufwerk einlegen
und auf „OK" klicken.
3) „DURCHSUCHEN" anklicken und das CD-Lauf-
werk auswählen.
4) Auf der CD den Ordner „Grabbee3" suchen und in
diesem wiederum den Ordner „Driver". Nun jeweils
auf „OK" klicken, bis sich die Fenster wieder ge-
schlossen haben.
5) Zunächst die Software für die Bedienoberfläche
installieren. Das Setup-Programm dafür befindet
sich in dem Ordner „Grabbee3" und dort wiederum
in dem Ordner „APsoftware".
4 Grundeinstellung des Bedienprogramms
Nach dem ersten Programmstart folgende Einstellun-
gen vornehmen:
1) In dem Menü „Options" den Eintrag „Video Source"
anklicken.
2) Die Registerkarten „Video Decoder" und „Advanced"
anklicken.
3) Auf beiden Registerkarten in der Zeile „Video Stan-
dard" die Option „PAL_B" einstellen.

3 Software Installation
1) Connect the USB plug (1) of the grabber to a free
USB port at the computer. The operating system
now recognizes the new unit and requests the cor-
responding driver.
2) Put the supplied CD into the CD mechanism and
click "OK".
3) Click "SEARCH" and select the CD mechanism.
4) Search the directory "Grabbee3" on the CD and in
this directory again the directory "Driver". Click
"OK" in each case until the windows are closed.
5) For the time being install the software for the oper-
ating surface. The corresponding setup programme
is in the directory "Grabbee3" and there again in the
directory "APsoftware".
4 Basic Setting of the Operating Programme
After the first programme start make the following set-
tings:
1) Click the entry "Video Source" in the menu "Op-
tions".
2) Click the register cards "Video Decoder" and "Ad-
vanced".
3) Set the option "PAL_B" in the line "Video Standard"
on both register cards.

5 Anschluss der Videoquelle
Wenn das anzuschließende Videogerät mit einem
SVHS-Ausgang ausgestattet ist, diesen mit der 4-poli-
gen Kupplung (2) verbinden. Sonst den Videoausgang
an die gelbe Cinch-Kupplung (3) anschließen und ggf.
den Tonausgang an die schwarze Kupplung (4) für
den linken Kanal sowie bei einem Stereoton an die
rote Kupplung (5) für den rechten Kanal.

5 Connection of the Video Source
If the video unit to be connected is equipped with an
SVHS output, connect this output to the 4-pole inline
jack (2). Otherwise connect the video output to the yel-
low phono inline jack (3) and, if necessary, the audio
output to the black inline jack (4) for the left channel
and in case of stereo sound to the red inline jack (5) for
the right channel.
