Anschluss an die
RS 232-Schnittstelle
des PNOZmulti
Die Verbindung des Adapters mit der
RS 232-Schnittstelle des Sicherheits-
systems PNOZmulti wird über ein
Null-Modem-Kabel hergestellt.
Installation
Für den Datenaustausch über den
Adapter PSS Conv USB/RS 232
werden Treiber auf Ihrem PC benö-
tigt. Die Installation dieser Treiber
erfolgt mit Hilfe der beigefügten CD.
Vorbereitung
• Wenn Ihr PC zur Zeit mit dem
Internet verbunden ist, dann
beenden Sie bitte diese Verbin-
dung bis nach der Installation.
• Wenn Sie auf Ihrem PC bereits
ein Gerät des selben Typs installiert
haben, das Gerät jedoch einen
anderen Treiber verwendet, dann
deinstallieren Sie bitte diesen
Treiber.
• Prüfen Sie, welche COM-Schnitt-
stellen Ihre Software unterstützt.
• Prüfen Sie im Geräte-Manager ,
ob eine der unterstützten Schnitt-
stellen frei ist ( Systemsteuerung
-> System -> Hardware ->
Geräte-Manager... ). Sollten
andere Anwendungen diese
Schnittstellen bereits belegen, so
deinstallieren Sie bitte eine dieser
Anwendungen oder wählen Sie
eine andere Schnittstelle.
• Verbinden Sie den Adapter mit
einer USB-Schnittstelle des PC
und legen Sie die Installations-CD
ein.

The adapter is connected to the
RS 232 interface of the PNOZmulti
safety system via a null modem
cable.
Installation
Your PC needs drivers in order to
exchange data via the PSS Conv
USB/RS 232 adapter. These
drivers are installed using the
enclosed disk.
Preparation
• If your PC is currently connected
to the Internet, please disconnect
it until the installation is complete.
• If you already have a device of
the same type installed on your
PC and this device is using a
different driver, please uninstall
this driver.
• Check which COM ports are
supported by your software.
• In Device Manager , check to see
if one of the permitted ports is free
( Control Panel -> System ->
Hardware -> Device Mana-
ger... ). If other applications are
already using these ports,
uninstall one of these applications
or choose a different port.
• Connect the adapter to a USB
port on the PC and insert the
installation disk.

Connexion à l'interface
RS 232 du PNOZmulti
La connexion de l'adaptateur à
l'interface RS 232 du système de
sécurité PNOZmulti est établie au
moyen d'un câble Null-Modem.
Installation
Pour l'échange de données via
l'adaptateur PSS Conv USB/RS 232,
des pilotes doivent être installés sur
votre PC. L'installation de ces pilotes
est réalisée au moyen du CD joint.
Préparation
• Si votre PC est actuellement
raccordé à Internet, veuillez
couper cette connexion jusqu'à ce
que l'installation soit terminée.
• Si vous avez déjà installé sur
votre ordinateur un appareil de
type identique, mais que cet
appareil utilise un pilote différent,
veuillez alors désinstaller ce
pilote.
• Vérifiez quels ports COM sont
supportés par votre logiciel.
• Dans le Gestionnaire de
périphériques , vérifiez si un port
supporté est libre ( Panneau de
configuration -> Système ->
Matériel -> Gestionnaire de
périphériques... ). Si d'autres
applications utilisent ces ports,
vous devez désinstaller l'une de
ces applications ou sélectionner
un autre port.
• Reliez l'adaptateur à un port USB
du PC, puis insérez le CD
d'installation.
