ATTENTION:
A P P L I C AT I O N
Dismount the injection nozzle from the engine and
connect it to the tester by means of the appropriate
adaptor pipe (1) Thread M14x1,5 or M 12x1,5). Fill in
Diesel or petrol into the tank (2); by activating the lever
(3), fuel will be pumped through the nozzle holder into
the nozzle.
As soon as the fuel pressure exceeds the spring
pressure, fine spread fuel will drop out of the nozzle.
In order to test the tightness, a pressure of about 20 bar
below the opening pressure has to be built up by means
of the hand pump lever. The injection valve is intact, if it
does not start drop ping within 10 sec. to effect a rattling
test, the lever is activated slowly. Depending on type of
valve, a clearly audible rattling noise has to appear
during the injection. The pressure at which the nozzle
opens can be seen on the pressure gauge (4). If the
pressure does not correspond to the prescribed value
you either have to readjust or to change the quantity of
the compensating discs.
