The heating element has been slightly
greased and as a result the raclette might
smoke slightly when switched on for the � rst
time. After a short while, this will cease. Let
the raclette work for 10 minutes before � rst
use. This will remove the smell and smoke.
The appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
The appliance is not to be used by persons
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they are
supervised or have been given instructions
on how to use the appliance safely.

Before use

Make sure that there is enough ventilation
around the raclette.
The raclette should not be placed on an
untreated wood surface. Place the raclette on
a level and heat-resistant surface.
Use
After plugging the appliance in and turning
on the switch, the raclette will start. The � rst
few times you use the raclette, put a bit of oil
on the grill plateafter pre-heating. After pre-
heating, the appliance is ready for use. Place
thin slices of meat, � sh, vegetables or fruit on
the grill plate or raclette pans and let them
cook to your taste.
Do not place frozen food, or anything that
is too heavy, on the hot grill plate and the
raclette pans.
